Meg St-Esprit is a Pittsburgh-based journalist, editor, and content strategist whose work sits at the intersection of parenting, education, housing, family life, culture, and the everyday systems that shape how people live. She also loves chasing down quirky and interesting stories, particularly when it comes to Pittsburgh lore.

She is the Events Editor at Kidsburgh, the Hot Property columnist and a regular contributor at Pittsburgh Magazine, and a Lead Content Strategist for Verizon’s Parenting in a Digital World. Her writing and reporting have appeared in national and regional outlets including The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Atlantic, The Wall Street Journal, Good Housekeeping, Care.com, Romper, Scary Mommy, Pittsburgh City Paper, and more.

Meg brings a practical, human-centered lens to her work. Before shifting to a full-time journalism career, Meg earned a Master of Education in Counseling and Development with a K-12 School Counseling certification from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She worked with children and families across the Pittsburgh region as a service coordinator and developmental specialist in IDEA Part C early-intervention programming, as well as a therapist for children and teens affected by adoption and foster care. That background, including hundreds of in-home visits with families navigating neurodiversity, developmental delays, foster care, and adoption, continues to inform the way she reports, edits, interviews, and tells stories.

Today, Meg writes reported features, voicey essays, service journalism, branded editorial content, and travel content. She is also a frequent television and podcast guest, speaking about parenting, education, home and design, Pittsburgh life, tech-forward parenting, and the stories behind her latest work.

Meg’s goal is simple: tell useful, honest, and deeply reported stories that help readers feel more informed, less alone, and more connected to the world around them.
